9 Ways to Mix Up Valentines

Yup. It's almost here. With the pink and red balloons, flower bouquets, and chocolate hearts at every turn, there is no doubt that V-day is upon us. Here are some ways to mix it up this Valentines day... 1. Family movie night. If you have kids, maybe rent a new movie and get that air popper out. One of my favorite treats as a child was finding chocolate chips in the popcorn bowl! Enjoy some snuggles while you are at it! 2. Homemade Card Share. I know, I know, there are stores that sell cards. We don't have to be so old fashioned anymore. Hear me out. There is something thoroughly sweet about getting a homemade card. They are personalized, tailored just for the recipients, with favorite colors, pictures, and phrases. As kids, we would make cards for each member of the family and then gather around and card swap. 10 Ways to Prompt Learning

We knew from the start we wanted to homeschool our kids. Now with a toddler, we've ventured into schooling on a daily basis. I have a lot to learn moving forward with educating our children, but here are a list of 10 things we do to prompt learning... 1. Library. They have free classes that we attend weekly, that include activities such as story time, crafts, music and dance, and socializing with peers. The library is also great for reading, teaching your littluns to check out books, library etiquette practice, and exploring educational online games. 2. Aquarium/Zoo. My husband and I quite enjoy going to view the animals as well,  so it's a fun family outing. And educational! 3. Educational Movies. Our kids rather love and learn from Leapfrogs, VeggieTales, and Wild Kratts. You can find some educational movies at the library! 4. Discovery Channel.
